History
In 1978, Campo Alegre Farm was acquired by Pedro Jacinto Bernardes and Jacinto Bernardes Dias, who are respectively grandfather and father of José Eduardo Bernardes. In 1983, José Eduardo, knowing that the city is strong in agribusiness, believed in the potential of the region’s lands and established businesses in the coffee sector, in Patrocínio – MG.
In 1984 the Bernardes Family made their own nursery and in 1985 they began to plant. They planted from farmland to farmland, and after three years they acquired the Serra Negra Farm, where they also planted coffee, increasing the designed grain area of this wonderful beverage.
Campo Alegre Farm started its coffee production, always believing in the improvement of technological conditions and in more efficient forms of coffee production. It is very important to highlight that the growth they have obtained in the region was due to the professionalism, technical assistance and mechanization that facilitated in the management of coffee production.
Observing the improvement and the need for quality coffee, the demand has increased in Brazil and in the world, and since then they have decided to give more emphasis and focus to quality coffee.
In 2017, Campo Alegre Farm identified the vocation for the production of specialty coffees and have begun a new phase of changes aimed at both the quality of the grains and the improvement of the infrastructure, with investment in the improvement of working conditions and life for its employees.
